Founded in 1985 in the London Borough of Brent, Regent Brass is a leading brass band recognised for its innovative performances and championing new work for brass bands. In 2012, a second band Regent Community Brass was created to strengthen community ties and broaden access to brass music. Both bands share resources, often perform together and marked their 40th anniversary last year. I designed their dual logos and umbrella brand, The Regent Bands, using a purple blend of each band’s colours, which appears across all visual materials. I have been performing with the bands for nearly 30 years.
